Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born into an ethnically diverse family. Her mother and father are both English. She was raised in the south of a London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. She performed in various performances on stage during her school days, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. The film's success led her to play Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in six episodes Trexx & Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character in ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who played a regular role in the two previous seasons, had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the first episode of the season's new episode. Between 2014 and 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as a couple in Salem.

Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into an extended family. Her parents were Roy and Patty Leggat. Her four older brothers were present as well: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, but she danced. As she was two and a half, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in love. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions of tap, jazz hip hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics as well as pointe until the time she completed high school. She won the top soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
